ADI and Odigo Partner to Develop Mobile Instant Messaging Applications

Pune, India, June 13th, 2001: ADI Software Technologies, a key player in the development of wireless applications, today announced their partnership with Odigo, the leading provider of Instant Messaging (IM) and Presence solutions, to develop Odigo client applications for mobile devices.

Odigo's product offerings include an Instant Messaging Server Platform, which enables interoperable, robust and intuitive Instant Messaging, as well as client implementations, currently available for the Windows and Mac platforms as well as Java, WAP and SMS devices. The alliance with ADI extends Odigo's existing range of client applications to the Windows CE, Palm OS and Symbian/EPOC 32 platforms. As with all Odigo client offerings, the IM clients developed by ADI will be completely customizable by Odigo IM licensees.

"We're keen to offer our licensees and their end-users the widest possible choice of devices from which to access their Odigo accounts, so partnering with a company that has strong mobile and wireless technology like ADI is an important move on that front.", stated Ran Cohen, Odigo Director of Strategic Development. "ADI brings unrivaled expertise in the development of mobile computing applications which will allow users to access their existing Odigo accounts from their Windows CE, Palm and Symbian/EPOC32 based devices."

ADI has been a pioneering and key player in the development of application software for mobile devices. As an active supporter of Windows CE since 1996 and more recently of the Symbian/EPOC32 OS, Palm and Amiga platforms, ADI has made rapid strides in product development and deployment. The company is proud to have developed the largest number of applications for the entire range of personal digital assistants.

Says Komal Khilnani, ADI's Manager-Strategic Alliances, "Odigo shares our vision of bringing compelling solutions, specifically instant messaging, to a wide variety of mobile devices. Our discussions with Odigo convinced each of us of how closely our respective strategies are aligned and we are ecstatic about our partnership with Odigo."
