Our customer is a major player in mobile
and wireless applications, messaging, and
embedded development and device integrations/ports.
Instant Messaging (IM) application provides
messaging capabilities and presence services.
The scope of the project was to develop,
deploy, enhance and maintain the application.
The application had to adhere to the OMA
Instant Messaging and Presence Service (IMPS),
which defines a universal set of specifications
for mobile and instant messaging and presence
services.
ADI developed a modular and portable
ANSI C compatible library providing Instant
Messaging and Presence Services, using the
Wireless Village – Client Server Protocol.
Abstractions for various modules like the
Protocol Encapsulation module and the transport
module was provided with the facility to
select components.
